Big marlin helps team net about $2.5 million

On the final day of the 2025 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, BIG TROUBLE brought in a 517.1-pound blue marlin, overtaking BANKWALKER for the top spot in the Heaviest Blue Marlin category. And because BIG TROUBLE’s fish was the first (and only) one that topped the 500-pound mark, they earned the Fabulous Fisherman’s prize of $807,500. That, along with the prize money for taking first place will put their total winnings at about $2.5 million.

Captained by Chris Daniels, angler Brandon Creech was on the rod when the big fish hit at 11:59 a.m. on Day 6. They boated the fish at 12:25 p.m. and headed to the scales, where the fish was weighed.

BANKWALKER takes second-place in the Heaviest Blue Marlin division.

Billfish Release Division

WAVE PAVER, which shot to the top of the Release Division leaderboard on Day 5, added to their tally on Day 6 and came out on top. They ended the tournament with a total of 3350 points, followed by MAGIC MOMENT’s second-place finish with 2525 points. BUILDER’S CHOICE came in third with 2500 points.
