Young anglers get a taste of striper fishing

Cary Cooke Jr. of Rock Hill, S.C. took his sons fishing with Capt. Jason Wolfe of Wolfe’s Guide Service last week on the Wateree River. It was the first striper fishing his sons, Cody and Hunter, had ever done. Each one of the boys caught their first ever striper, along with several others. Dad joined in the fun too, catching his share.

The striper bite is on fire in the upper reaches of the Wateree River, and should continue to be good for the next several weeks. The season closes on June 15, so don’t wait too late to get on the river and take advantage of this hot bite.
