Cherokee, N.C. winter fishing with Pautzke Baits

Cherokee isn’t just for fly-fishermen

The waters that run through Cherokee, N.C. offer some top-notch trout fishing year-round. The Cherokee Tribe stocks these waters regularly, and they aren’t stingy when they’re stocking. They load these rivers up with lots of trout, including some chunky ones.

And during the winter, the fair-weather fishermen are waiting for spring, leaving the fish to those who care more about getting a tug on the line than sitting in front of the fire all day.

The folks from Pautzke Baits show us what it’s like in this video, using their Peach/Garlic Fire Bait.
