Everly Edwards killed a 13-point buck, her first deer, in Union County, NC on Sept. 27, 2026.
She shot the buck with a .44 mag lever action during an afternoon hunt while sitting in an elevated stand from 115 yards away.
Edwards family member summed up the hunt with these words:
“Everly hunted hard last season with tons of sightings. None of these previous hunts panned out for her first deer. On the evening of the 26th as it finally turned 7 pm, deer were everywhere. She was able to make a perfect shot that dropped the buck within 40 yards. She was able to watch the deer fall in the field. Everly was shooting a lever action 44 mag that her dad, uncle, sister, and grandfather all killed there first deer with. Congratulations Everly on a great first deer.”
Edwards is now entered in our Bag-A-Buck Contest, and is eligible to win our monthly prize pack, which includes a set of Ultimate Eyes & Ears Combo from ShellShock Pro, a YETI Rambler bottle, a prize package from Buck Commander and Duck Commander, and a Carolina Sportsman hat, as well as our Grand Prize, a 2-day hunt for two to Cherokee Run Hunting Lodge in Chesterfield County, SC.
