Sportsman’s Dilsaver elected to SKA Hall of Fame

Jerry Dilsaver, the special-events coordinator for South Carolina Sportsman magazine, has been elected to the Southern Kingfish Association (SKA) Hall of Fame.

Dilsaver, a 2001 SKA national champion, was one of 12 nominees for the Hall of Fame in July.

Dilsaver, who helped develop the SKA’s rules, organizes the magazines’s fishing schools and seminars, as well as writing regular columns and feature articles. He joined North Carolina Sportsman in 2002 and added South Carolina Sportsman to his resume when the magazine began publication in 2006.

A resident of Oak Island, N.C., Dilsaver has been a volunteer on the N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission’s Southeast Regional Advisory Committee. He serves on the advisory board of the N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries’ saltwater fishing tournament and is on the board of directors for the Long Beach Artificial Reef Association.
