Clinic in Conway area is open to first 25 registered youths
The S.C. Department of Natural Resources’ Take One Make One Program and the Horry County “Sandlappers” branch of the Quality Deer Management Association is offering aspiring young hunters the opportunity to learn more about dove hunting with a dove clinic on Nov. 22 in Conway.
The first 25 youths between the ages of 10 and 17 who register will be able to attend the clinic. All 25 will be introduced to basic dove-hunting skills, with hands-on instruction from dressing the bird, cooking and tasting, gear need, and how to make sure you’re hunting legally. The clinic will begin at 7 a.m.
The first 10 youths to register will be treated to a dove hunt. Youth must have passed a hunter education course to participate in the hunt.
There is not cost for the clinic, and lunch will be provided. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay on site while youths participate.
