The November issue of South Carolina Sportsman will take deer hunters to places they’ve likely been — but never with a weapon.

Featured in the magazine are a handful of stories about great South Carolina deer hunting, including reports on some big early-season trophies, but also offering readers a little know-how on killing deer close to home, in the surburbs or around urban areas.

Also, you’ll earn what little extra things it takes to consistently take good deer off public lands and good ducks off big Upstate rivers and reservoirs.

Not to be forgotten are reports on some of the biggest alligators ever taken in South Carolina as the fall season begins to wind down.

For fishermen, there are big speckled trout to be caught in the Wando River with guide Jeff Yates, the “wizard of the Wando,” redfish in the Beaufort/Hilton Head area, and all kinds of crappie, catfish, stripers and largemouth bass on Lake Greenwood, the site of this month’s map/gps feature.

So pick up a copy and join the ranks of satisfied sportsmen.
