Conway’s “Tiger Anglers” will hold a day-long fishing seminar featuring guides and expert fishermen at Conway High School on Feb. 2.

Expert fishermen will present seminars, address fishing topics

Conway High School’s “Tiger Anglers” will be holding a day-long fishing seminar – Let’s Go Fishing – on Saturday, Feb. 2.

Scheduled speakers including Capt. Englis Glover of Tee to Sea Charters, Capt. J Baisch of Fishful Thinking Charters, Capt. Jason Burton from Marlin Quay Marina, Chris Jones from the Conway Bassmasters, Mike Foxworth from Marshall’s Marine and members of the Clemson University Fishing team.

Cost of the event will be $20, with funds going to the Tiger Anglers teams at Conway High School, Conway Middle School and Whittemore Park Middle School. For more information about the “Let’s Go Fishing” seminar call Rayburn Poston at 843-902-4274. Fishing clubs like the Tiger Anglers are the product of a partnership between the S.C. Department of Natural Resources and The Bass Federation of South Carolina. Schools need a minimum of six students between 11 and 18 years of age and must schedule two club tournaments, fundraisers and other learning sessions pertaining to fishing for club meetings.
