It’s FREE RANGER’s second blue marlin weighed in the tournament

During the 2026 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, FREE RANGER started Day 3 in fourth place, but shot up to second place after weighing in a 597.4-pound blue marlin.

Angler Reid Wood was manning the rod when the big marlin hit, with Capt. Robert Orr at the helm. They made quick work boating the fish, then headed to the scales.

Their 436.2-pound blue marlin from Day 1 wasn’t heavy enough to win them the Fabulous Fisherman’s Prize, which goes to the first boat of the event to weigh in a 500+ pound blue marlin, and that prize had already been claimed by the time they weighed in their second marlin. But the catch was still plenty sweet, as it pushed them into second place, which if it stands, will net the team a paycheck of $467,963.

MARLIN FEVER currently sits atop the leaderboard with their 919.9-pound blue marlin they caught on Day 2.
