Spinal surgery doesn’t stop Lakota
Lakota Quevedo of Parkton, NC and her Papa Keith Pierce were still hunting on Aug. 9, 2025, the first Youth Day of South Carolina’s season, in Marlboro County. Lakota had major scoliosis spinal surgery in April 2025 and we didn’t know if she would be able to climb a tree stand this year but with God and Lakota’s determination she was able to overcome her obstacles and bag this beautiful 8-point buck still in velvet. We give God all the glory for making this possible. Lakota took this beautiful buck with a .308 Ruger at 100 yards.
