Afternoon
Went for a quick hunt after work at one of my favorite stands along a powerline. Deer started showing up and a small buck was chasing some does. Then on the other side of where I hunt is a cow pasture and this buck & another 3.5 year old 8 ptr started chasing a couple more does. they eventually after 8-10 minutes worked their way my way and jumped the fence. the buck i shot pushed the other smaller buck around and grunted some. i immediately grunted back once i heard this and he postured scrapped the ground 3 times and started walking my way closing the distance from 80 yards to my stand. i grunted and stopped him and took aim. released the bolt tipped with a swhacker broadhead and watched the elumenok hit its mark the deer mule kicked leaped just inside the wood line where i heard him crash. from shot impact to recovery was 10 yards at most. clean kill on a mature old buck.
Was a quick exciting hunt after work. from time to get in stand to buck being shot maybe a hour to hour & 15 minutes.
