Hudson Dean, 5-years-old, first time turkey hunting on his own. He’s watched the older guys since he was 2 and has been practicing all winter on targets. On April 6, 2024, he put it all together and made it happen in Wayne County, NC, killing the bird when it was about 50 yards out. The gobbler had an 11 3/4-inch beard and its spurs were about an inch long.
