Clarks Hill stripers, hybrids are tearing up topwater lures

It’s a topwater frenzy at Clarks Hill right now

The stripers and hybrids at Clarks Hill are feasting on bait near the Lake Russell dam. And they are tearing up a variety of topwater lures. Anglers fishing within sight of the dam are catching these fish consistently.

The topwater bite should stay hot well into the fall. These fish are most active in the afternoons when power is being generated through the dam, creating the type of current that turns these fish on.

Check out the video for tips on how to catch them.
