Get the Navionics phone app

Get all the latest updated chart information and features from Navionics right on your phone with the Navionics phone app.

The world’s No. 1 boating app by Navionics is a favorite among not only fishermen, but boaters, divers, cruisers and sailors. The phone app allows you to have and use the same features on your phone as you would get from an expensive chart plotter. Go cruising, fishing and sailing with the same detailed charts and advanced features used on the best GPS plotters.

The app provides anglers with depth contours, tides and currents and navigation aides, and it includes community edits that have been shared by other anglers so you have a place to start fishing — even in waters you might be unfamiliar with.

You can also obtain real-time weather data, daily and hourly forecasts with wind, weather buoy, tide, and current information to overlay on your map. Download buoy data from NOAA weather-buoy stations.

The app allows you to add information to your phone and later synch the phone with compatible Raymarine, Lowrance, Simrad and B&G marine electronics mounted on your boat.

“I use the phone app just as much off the water as I do on it,” said guide Stephen Fields of Charleston, S.C., a member of Navionics’ pro staff. ”It’s a great tool to plan, study and scout areas before you head to a particular destination.”

Another app feature is Fish Ranges., which allows you to color- code specific depth ranges and highlight the areas you want to fish in the color of your choice.

“It lets you customize your charts, because 90 percent of the fish live in 10 percent of the water,” he said.

To download the Navionics App to your phone, iPa, or other device, go to the Apple App Store or get it on Google play. You can download the Boating Marine & Lakes app for free and experience all the charts and features

You can try the app, including it’s integrated charts and features with the 2-week trial of Navionics+. The app also comes in an “HD” version, with a tablet-optimized interface. If you like the trial app you can place a subscription to get the app for one year for around $10 depending on the areas you choose.
