Durango Women’s Crush 16-inch Tall Western Boot

These boots are comfortable, durable and stylish

When my wife and I come out of the turkey woods or off the water and it’s time to head to an oyster roast, fish fry or other social outing, she loves to ditch her sandals and pull on her Durango Women’s Crush 16-inch Tall Western Boot.

This boot has become just as much a part of her outdoor lifestyle as her fishing rods and camo jacket. What stands out first is the look. Whether she’s wearing it with jeans, a skirt or shorts, he 16-inch shaft gives it that tall, confident cowgirl profile, and the intricate stitching paired with rich full-grain leather really pops in a casual coastal setting. She love her crimson red pair, and this boot is available in several other colors as well. She gets plenty of compliments every time she steps out of the truck.

But style only goes so far if a boot isn’t comfortable, and that’s where this one really earns its keep. Inside, Durango built this boot with their Sole Comfort Footbed, which includes a microfiber-covered insole and cushioned base. In plain terms, she can wear these things all evening without that “kick them off immediately” feeling you get from some fashion-forward boots.

Durango BootsSmall details make a big difference

Another feature she appreciates more than she expected is the medial side zipper. It might sound like a small detail, but after a long day wading water or hiking through the woods, not having to wrestle a tall boot on or off is a big deal. It turns a traditionally stubborn pull-on style into something quick and easy.

From a build standpoint, these boots aren’t just for looks. They’ve got a ¾ Goodyear welt construction, a hand-nailed genuine leather outsole, and a nylon shank for added stability. That combination gives them a sturdy, grounded feel underfoot, especially when walking across gravel driveways or uneven ground at an outdoor gathering. The 2½-inch heel adds just enough lift to feel dressy without sacrificing balance, and the snip toe keeps that classic Western silhouette intact.

Durability has been solid so far. The full-grain leather holds up well to dust, dirt, and the occasional splash from the dock, and the high-abrasion rubber heel lift helps prevent premature wear. These aren’t work boots meant for hard labor every day, but for lifestyle use like cookouts, nights out, and light outdoor wear, they strike the perfect balance.

She noted a short break-in period was all she needed to feel the boots mold nicely to her feet and become even more comfortable.

What makes the Durango Women’s Crush 16-inch Tall Western Boot truly special is how easily it transitions. One minute she’s coming off the water, the next she’s ready for a social evening without skipping a beat. That kind of versatility, paired with comfort and undeniable Western style, is why these boots have become her go-to every chance she gets.
