Five calling contests to be held at DU state convention on Aug. 17

North Carolina’s chapter of Ducks Unlimited will roll out the state and Pamlico regional duck-calling championships on Aug. 17 as part of the state convention in New Bern.

The N.C. State and Pamlico regional contests are sanctioned by and qualifiers for the World’s Duck Calling Championships in Stuttgart, Ark., on Nov. 30. Winners of the two contests will qualify for the World’s.

Along with the two major contests, NCDU will hold a hunting-style calling contest, a junior duck calling contest and a goose calling contest, all at New Bern’s Union Park.
