Karley Davidson wins Tag-A-Turkey Contest

NC hunter bagged two big birds

Karley Davidson of Carthage, NC has been crowned the winner of the 2023 CarolinaSportsman.com Tag-A-Turkey Contest.

Davidson wins a 3-year subscription to Carolina Sportsman Magazine, a Thermacell prize package, a Convergent Hunting Solutions Bullet HP Bluetooth Predator Call and a Millennium Field Pro Turkey Seat.

During the 2023 season, she limited out, with two gobblers each weighing more than 20 pounds. She submitted her story to the Tag-A-Turkey Contest page, and was chosen as the winner from more than 100 other hunters.

“We had a lot of great turkeys entered in the contest, from hunters that killed lots of unique birds, ranging from different color phases, multiple beards, extra-large gobblers, and during hunts that had special meaning in one way or another,” said one of the contest judges.

So what made Davidson’s stand out to the panel of judges?

“It was a combination of things. The main thing is, she told her story in great detail, included great photos, and included a video.”
