List of property management contractors available for private landowners

A list of contractors available to help manage property for wildlife has been compiled by the SCDNR.

Contractors help with wildlife management practices, SCDNR says.

Landowners seeking professional help with timber and wildlife management, food plot planting, dove field preparation and other services can now consult a directory of contractors that was compiled by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources with assistance from other organizations.

The Wildlife Technical Assistance Providers List contains information on contractors throughout South Carolina and nearby areas in Georgia and North Carolina.

The list is organized according to where each contractor is located, though most work in multiple counties. It shows contact information, certifications held, specialized equipment owned, areas served and services provided by each.

The SCDNR doesn’t endorse any of the contractors. It recommends that landowners ask for references and a written contract outlining the desired service, and that they get more than one opinion before hiring anyone.

Consultants and business owners involved in habitat-related technical assistance who want to be included in the list should contact Willie Simmons at 803.734.3898.

Printed contractor lists can be obtained at local SCDNR offices:
