Social distancing guidelines will be in place
The Foothills Public Shooting Complex in Cherryville, NC reopened this past Saturday, May 9. All participants should follow COVID-19 guidelines while visiting any of the facility’s four ranges.
The NCWRC will be limiting the number of customers at the complex based on social distancing (6 foot) guidelines.
The rifle and pistol ranges will use every other lane. Lanes will be limited to two guests. When shooters are waiting, shooters will rotate out after one hour of shooting.
Skeet and trap ranges will be limited to 10 persons.
Shooters at the steel range are reminded to practice social distancing guidelines.
The NCWRC will limit the number of guests in the office.
The Foothills Public Shooting Complex is a partnership between the NCWRC and Cleveland County. The address to the facility is 283 Fielding Rd, Cherryville, NC 28021. Shooters pay a $10 fee for a daily pass.
All other NCWRC ranges remain closed
The amenities at Foothills Public Shooting Complex include:
- 250-yard rifle range (stands at 100, 150, 200, 250 yards)
- 50-yard pistol/rifle range
- 20-yard pistol range
- 50-yard steel target range
- Two skeet/trap/pistol combo range
- Practice archery and 3-D archery course
- Family pavilion with restrooms, grills, and covered seating
- Universally accessible
As of the reopening date, the hours for the facility are listed as Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Range 1, however, is currently only open Saturdays and Sundays. That is all expected to change in the near future, so give the range a call at 704-447-8230 to check before you go.
As of the May 9, 2020, all other NCWRC ranges remain closed until further notice.
