While learning how to manage local deer herds for hunters and landowners, Danny Buxton of Smoaks and his close friend, Jordan Patrick, began experimenting to come up with a supplement that would provide deer with essential vitamins and minerals during their critical stages of development.
Deer have fluctuating nutrient requirements at different times, and natural nutrients are more readily available at different times. Mineral supplements provide a constant flow of vitamins and minerals at critical times, including the phase during which bucks are growing antlers.
Buxton and Patrick have developed a granular mineral supplement called Lowcountry Deer Mineral that can provide vitamins and minerals to their deer herd when they’re most needed. For more information, visit www.lowcountrydm.com.
