Leupold optics package, Hughes box blind is winner’s reward

Chase Watson of Oxford, the grand-prize winner in North Carolina Sportsman’s Bag-A-Buck contest, picked up his prize package on Friday, Feb. 28, at the Dixie Deer Classic in Raleigh.

Watson, a 24-year-old surgical technician who entered the contest as “baseball1cw” on NorthCarolinaSportsman.com, won an optics package from Leupold that included a rifle scope, a pair of binoculars and a rangefinder, a Hughes Box Blind from Hughes Products in Wallburg. The grand-prize package was estimated at close to $1,200 in value.

Watson killed a fine 10-point buck with a bow in Granville County last Oct. 3 and entered it in the contest several days later. His entry was drawn on Feb. 14 as the grand prize from among hundreds of entries.
