Grand prize winner will be announced at 2016 Dixie Deer Classic
The Bag-A-Buck Contest will return to North Carolina Sportsman and www.NorthCarolinaSportsman.com this fall for the 18th-straight year.
The contest, which is run through the website, allows readers to enter photos of deer they harvest in monthly contests, the winners of which will be determined by a drawing. All entrants are eligible for the grand prize.
Monthly contests will run Sept. 12-30, Oct. 1-31, Nov. 1-30 and Dec. 1-Jan. 1, 2016. Winners will receive a $25 gift certificate to the magazine’s Outdoor Store.
The winner of the grand prize — a 10-year subscription to North Carolina Sportsman and a $50 gift certificate to the magazine’s Outdoor Store — will be drawn randomly from among all readers who enter the contest and will be presented at the Dixie Deer Classic in Raleigh next March 4-6.
Hunters wishing to enter should click on the Bag-A-Buck Contest link on www.NorthCarolinaSportsman.com and upload photos and information about their kill. The contest is open to hunters who subscribe to North Carolina Sportsman magazine.
Last year’s grand-prize winner was Ray Adcock of Monroe, who entered an 8-point buck he killed on Nov. 25, 2014.
“The Bag-A-Buck contest has really brought the best out in our readers over the last several years,” said Dan Kibler, managing editor of North Carolina Sportsman. “It is a real joy to look through the gallery of entries and see the kind of deer our readers are harvesting.”
