Bag-A-Buck 13 contest debuts, grand prize worth more than $3,500

Chad Everett of Mebane, a fire fighter for the city of Burlington, was last year’s grand-prize winner for a trophy 10-point buck he killed in Orange County.

The richest grand-prize package yet awaits one lucky hunter as North Carolina Sportsman’s Bag-A-Buck 13 contest, presented by Rivers West, makes its debut tomorrow (Sept. 11).

The hunter who is drawn from among four season’s entrants — in time for presentation at the 2011 Dixie Deer Classic — will receive prizes worth better than $3,500, including an “Outlaw Package” of hunting attire from Rivers West, a two-day deer hunt with Fourth Generation Outfitters, a Weatherby rifle from Overton’s matched with a 4×12 power Leopold VX-1 scope, a fiberglass deer blind from Four Sons Marine, a $25 gift certificate from Overton’s and a Line-X truck bed liner.

Bag-A-Buck 13 also includes four monthly contests, with winners drawn from among entrants in September, October, November and December. The monthly prizes include hunting attire from Rivers West, a $25 gift certificate from Overton’s, a North Carolina Sportsman T-shirt and window decal, a copy of Ty Conti’s “Cooking on the Wildside” cookbook, a Tink’s scent kit, Realtree hats and Monster Buck DVDs, a Plano storage box and a Line-X truck bed liner.

In addition, the September winner will receive a Rossi Youth Model .410/.22LR. Winners of the October, November and December contests will also receive additional large prizes.

Winners will be drawn monthly, with the grand-prize winner drawn from all entrants.

Entering is easy: Just click on the front-page contest link to post a photo of a deer harvested during the 2010 season or an image of a live deer and write short account of the hunt.

But you must be a North Carolina Sportsman magazine subscriber to be eligible for the prizes. So subscribe today!
