So you’re walking through a lowcountry parking garage and there you see it — a 9-foot long alligator. That’s what happened in Charleston County, S.C. on May 20. After a call to the county’s animal control division, this video shows what happened next. That’s Animal Control supervisor Courtney Bayles with the first leap onto the gator’s back.
The gator was hauled some distance away and released unharmed into a pond.
Spring is mating season for gators and while on their quest for love, they sometimes take a wayward turn and end up somewhere they shouldn’t be.
