VIDEO: Tagged 52-pound blue catfish caught, released

Dieter Melhorn caught this big blue on Lake Wylie, but it wasn't the first time the fish had been caught.

Fish was caught, released for second time out of Lake Wylie

Anglers who fish long enough in the Carolinas are sometimes lucky enough to catch a fish that has been tagged before. It’s always nice to see that the fish you just caught was caught, tagged, and released at some point in the past, and if you’re interested enough, you can find out the history of that fish’s tagging.

Dieter Melhorn of Cramerton, N.C. hooked into a big bluefish on Lake Wylie recently, and he noticed the fish was tagged before he even got it out of the water. Watch the video to see what Melhorn was able to find out about the fish.
