Team pulls lures after strike during stormy weather
When the weather turns bad offshore therei’s not much anglers can do. So it’s not a real surprise the Magic Moment team left their spread out during the second day of the 2014 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament taking place this weekend.
But things turned tense when lightning struck the boat — and it was all caught on video.
The video, seemingly shot from a GoPro camera mounted overlooking the back deck, shows stormy seas and driving rain with distant lightning mixed in.
And then at the 3-minute mark a loud crack can be heard and the strike can be seen.
After the strike, it took a bit but team members ventured out to check the spread. And you can hear the crew calling to each other to ensure no one was hurt.
