Anna Davenport was fishing with her family on her annual OBX fishing trip on July 17, 2023 when she boated her 1st citation. This stud of a speckled trout weighed 6.5 pounds and put up a great fight with her custom JP rod and 3000-class spinning outfit. Everyone was excited to see such a big trout and happy it made it in the cooler for dinner. She was using live croakers caught earlier that morning on a grass flat. Ann’s setup was a popping cork with 2.5-foot leader and 4/0 circle hook. This was the first and best trout of the trip, great day on the water with her husband (Samuel) and two boys (Trey and Easton).
