Cobia fishing is great all summer in the Carolinas
The month of May is often thought of as the top cobia fishing month for Carolina anglers. Some even stop pursuing them once June begins. But these fish stick around the inshore and nearshore waters along the Carolina coastlines all summer long. Catchable numbers remain even into late fall.
In both Carolinas, numerous anglers have caught cobia this past week. Some are specifically targeting them. Others are catching them while pursuing other species. This video from Capt. Brian Vaughn at Off the Hook Fishing Charters in Hilton Head Island gives us a great look at what it’s like to sight fish for these not-so-gentle sea dwellers.
