Angler was not signed up for the STAR event
An angler fishing at the North Jetty in Georgetown caught one of the redfish tagged by CCA SC as part of the 2019 CCA STAR Tournament. The first two anglers to catch one of these tagged redfish stand to each win a $43,000 Sea Hunt BX 22 BR bay boat package. But this angler was not registered.
That’s bad news for him, but good news for everyone else — as long as they get registered!
The CCA SC STAR event runs through Labor Day. CCA staff caught, tagged, and released 60 redfish along South Carolina’s coast for the tournament. That means 59 are still swimming and waiting for you to catch one. How would you feel to catch one of these prized fish if you’re not registered?!
An unregistered angler caught a tagged redfish as part of the 2018 event too. Click here to read that story.
The boat package includes the Sea Hunt boat, a Yamaha outboard, and a Wesco trailer. It’s a package you don’t want to miss out on. Click here to get registered today!
Several other states run CCA STAR events as well. This is the third year CCA South Carolina has held the event. While no registered angler has yet won the boat package in South Carolina’s STAR, the organization gave away one of the boat packages each of the first two years by drawing a name from a list or registered anglers at the end of the tournament. So as long as you register, you can win, even if you don’t catch a tagged fish.
