2026 Brody Bates Youth Redfish Open has biggest turnout yet

The tournament is facilitated through SALTT

The 7th Annual Brody Bates Youth Redfish Open saw a record number of Lowcountry teams participate in the event. Teams from South Carolina’s upstate, as well as from North Carolina, joined in.

Facilitated through SALTT, the Student Angler League Tournament Trail, the tournament is funded by Sportsman Boats and other sponsors who pitched in $33,000 in scholarships for student anglers in grades 1-12.

A donation of $5000 was also awarded to the Brody Bates Foundation to provide scholarships for youth who have lost a sibling.

Elementary (Grades 1-4)

  • 1st: Harry Parnell of Charleston won $6000
  • 2nd: Fisher Thomas of Georgetown won $3000
  • 3rd: Russ and Alex Glover of Murrells Inlet won $2000

Middle (Grades 5-8)

  • 1st: Cole Steele of Winston-Salem won $5000
  • 2nd: Bella Holt of Myrtle Beach won $3000
  • 3rd: Henry and Charlie Camp of Greenville won $2000

High School (Grades 9-12)

  • 1st: Callie Calhoun of Conway won $6000
  • 2nd: Aden Day of Conway won $3000
  • 3rd: Corbin Todd and Carsten Hughes of Conway won $2000
