Setzer Hatchery renovation

NCWRC’s Bobby N. Setzer State Fish Hatchery to undergo renovations

NC’s Bobby N. Setzer State Fish Hatchery, which produces 75 percent of trout for the NCWRC, will undergo a major renovation beginning in 2025. This will cause a reduction in fish stockings throughout 2025, 2026, and possibly 2027. Once completed, stockings of trout throughout North Carolina waters will get back to normal, possibly adding more waterways and other programs. For more information, visit NCWildlife.org.
