Nate Leslie landed his personal best brown trout in the February Jimmy Orr tournament series on Lake Jocassee. This trout was 28.5 inches in length and tipped the tournament scales at 8 pounds, 13 ounces. It’s the largest trout weighed to date in the 2023/2024 Jimmy Orr tournament series. The catch capped a great weekend of trout fishing on Jocassee for Nate and his fishing partner/father-in-law Doug Hartman, who together boated fish of 3.5, 4.5, 4.5, 5.5 and 8.8 pounds.
The trout pictured was caught trolling a spinner rig tipped with a live minnow behind a planer board.
