Team Southern Style Catfishing wins Santee Lakes Catfish Club Tournament

The 1st place team weighed in 81.65 pounds of catfish.

The Santee Lakes Catfish Club opened 2026 with their tournament out of Blacks Camp on Jan. 17. Team Southern Style Catfishing took top honors, weighing in a three-fish limit for a total weight of 81.65 pounds.

The team’s bag was anchored by their 45.35-pound catfish, which earned 2nd place for Big Fish.

Team Emerson Elite took second place with a total weight of 76 pounds, including their big fish, a 28.75 pounder.

Third place went to Team Gut Bucket. They weighed in 66.7 pounds. Bad Habit Fishing took fourth with 66.1 pounds, and Fish On rounded out the Top 5 with 64.75 pounds.

Team Live and Direct, which finished 10th overall, took first place for the Big Fish category with a cat that tipped the scales at 47.5 pounds.

The next event for the Santee Lakes Catfish Club is scheduled for Feb. 28 on the Cooper River out of Cypress Gardens. After that, the club heads to Canal Lakes on April 18, followed by Randolph’s Landing on May 9.
