Bush hooking for big river catfish

Many Carolina rivers are suitable for bush hooking

Rivers throughout the Carolinas are full of catfish, and many are suitable for bush hooking. This unique way of catching cats is a fun change of pace over conventional fishing. And anglers catch catfish of all sizes doing it this way, including some really big ones.

Anglers participating in bush hooking don’t need fancy or expensive equipment. And you can catch your own bait, adding to a fun day on the water.

Come along with us as we join Todd Vick of Fishin’ Freshwater Charters on the Waccamaw River. It’s time for a river adventure!
