Who will win the 2017 FLW Forrest Wood Cup?

Prosperity, SC's Anthony Gagliardi has a shot to win his second FLW Forrest Wood Cup this weekend on Lake Murray.

Attendees can win a new bass boat, fishing kayak, fishing trips, and more

The 2017 FLW Forrest Wood Cup starts today on Lake Murray, and seven anglers from the Carolinas will be among the 53 anglers competing for the $300,000 grand prize. One of those Carolina anglers, Anthony Gagliardi of Prosperity, South Carolina, is a familiar name here. He won the Cup on Lake Murray in 2014. Can he win it again?

Local anglers are always easy choices as favorites to win a tournament on water they’ve had more access to than others, especially anglers who have had as much success on that lake as Gagliardi has on Murray.

Rob Newell shares his picks on the matter, and while he does have the local boys in his list, he has some other picks as well. He shares his reasons for picking each angler here.

The Forrest Wood Cup offers exciting events for fans, even those not interested in the tournament. A free Easton Corbin concert takes place at the Expo, fishing seminars will be held throughout the tournament, boat manufacturers off on-the-water trips, and lots of prizes will be given away, including a brand new bass boat.
