Schindledecker wins Santee BFL

With a 5-bass limit weighing 23.3 pounds, Brad Schindledecker of Monks Corner won the FLW Bass Fishing League’s South Carolina Division Tournament at Santee Cooper on March 20.Schindledecker took home $4,463.

Ken Ellis of Bowman was second with 21-1, winning $2,232. Brian Holder of Gastonia, N.C., took third with 17-10 for $2,489; Mark Curry of Conway as fourth with 17-9 for $1,041, and William Smith of Monks Corner was fifth with 16-14 for $893.

Clint Burrows of Sumter caught two bass weighing 13 pounds, two ounces to win the co-angler division and $2,232.

Gregory Littles of Columbia was second with 12-14 for $1,116; Grand Deshields of Duncan was third with 11-12 for $743; Todd Lawrence of Rock Hill was fourth with 10-10 for $521 and Jonathan Hilton of Kershaw was fifth with 8-2 for $446.

 

Littlejohn, Barnes take first

Cam Littlejohn of Columbia and Woody Barnes of Lexington, fishing as the “Two Guys & A Gizzard” team, won the Feb. 20 Midlands Striper Club tournament on Clarks Hill Lake.

Only two of the 16 teams entered caught keeper fish, and Littlejohn and Barnes caught two of them for a total of 8.95 pounds. Their 5.04-pound fish was the tournament’s biggest.

Rick Kellenbeyer of Chapin, James “Fogman” Lindler of West Columbia and Gary Heichelbech of Lexington finished second.

 

Schull tops Federation

Darrell Shull won the Bass Federation of South Carolina’s first tournament of the season on Lake Murray Feb. 27 with three bass that weighed 10.38 pounds.

Herman Vining was second with 10.21 pounds, and Robert Rikard was third with 8.27. Vining caught three bass and Rikard two.

Kenny Grimes finished first among co-anglers with two fish weighing 8.66 pounds. Randy Allen was second at 7.89 with two fish, and Bryan Beaudrot took third with two fish that weighed 7.85.

Craig Fredrychowski caught the big fish, 7.04 pounds.

 

Anderson is ABA winner at Murray

Sean Anderson of Saluda won the American Bass Anglers D-26 tournament March 21 on Lake Murray with a 5-fish limit that weighed 20.24 pounds.

Anderson’s catch included the tournament’s big fish, a 7.02-pound lunker. His total winnings were $863. He fished spinnerbaits and jigs in the upper part of the lake.

Jeff Routch of Sumter was second with 18.51, winning $371. Phillip Anderson of Saluda was third with 16.73 for $212, and Howard Richardson of Columbia and Steve Wicker of Pomaria rounded out the top five with 14.81 and 12.74 pounds, respectively.

 

Lindler is St. Andrews club’s Junior Bass winner

Tanner Lindler of Lexington won the Junior Bass Anglers of the Federation’s St. Andrews Club’s tournament on Lake Murray.

Lindler’s catch of two bass that weighed 5.08 pounds included the big fish, a 3.4-pounder. He won the 11-to-14 boys division and had the biggest overall catch.

Shane Cantley of Lugoff won the 14-to-18 boys division with one fish that weighed 4.28 pounds.

 

Eudy, Koontz win SCA closer

Rick “Capp” Eudy and Darren Koontz won the Southern Crappie Association’s final qualifying tournament on the 2009-2010 trail on March 6 at North Carolina’s High Rock Lake.

Eudy and Koontz caught a 7-fish limit weighing 11.40 pounds and won $1,000.

James Landon and Terry Goforth were second with 8.68, good for $530. Robert Jackson and Chip Knight were third with 8.62 for $260. Tom Sprouse and Steve Gentry took fourth with 8.58 pounds for $210, and Sam and Marty Kennington rounded out the top five with 8.46 for $180.
