Rabon, Almond cash in at Wateree with 25-pound limit

Winning pair pocket $1,071 in CATT event

Chad Rabon of Camden and Walt Almond of McBee got a big payday on May 25, winning the Carolina Anglers Tournament Trail event on Lake Wateree with a great 5-fish limit that weighed 25.07 pounds. Rabon and Almond pocketed $1,071.

Max Price of Winnsboro fished by himself and won $539 for second place with a 19.18-pound catch. Alan Fletcher and Danny Johnson of Hartsville were third with 16.75, winning $225. Mike King and Mike Traynum of Sumter took fourth with 16.37 for $175, and Bret Collins of Ridgeway and Ed Owens of Conway were fifth with 16.2 for $100.

Price caught the big fish of the event, a 7.75-pound fish that was worth an extra $100.
