2026 trail consists of five tournaments

The Neuse River Fishers of Men Inshore Trail, sponsored by United Bank, is holding five tournaments for the 2026 season. The organization is a competitive inshore fishing tournament series trail devoted to glorifying God’s teachings and promoting youth participation through fishing.

The tournaments will be held on the weekends, with the captains meetings all being held the Thursday night before the tournament. Captains meetings will take place at Union Point Church, located at 2912 Trent Rd. in New Bern. The meetings will begin at 5:30 pm, and supper will be provided.

The 2026 schedule is as follows:

  • April 18: BH Lawncare New Bern Open
  • Jun 13: Brace Yourself Sportsfishing Vandemere Brawl
  • Sept. 13: Twiford Specialized Hauling Bay River Challenge
  • Oct. 24: Pro-Serv Food Equipment Neuse River Shake Up
  • Nov. 14: Burtron Marine Service

Prize money for each event is listed here:

  • 1st place: $2000
  • 2nd place: $1200
  • 3rd place: $800
  • 4th place: $500
  • 5th place: $350
  • 6th place: $200
  • Big Fish: $500

Entry Fees:

  • $200 for each tournament (Big Fish included)
  • $50 optional Calcutta (TWT)
  • Early Entry Fee: $750 ($250 savings for all five tournaments) ends April 19 at 5 p.m.

The series is made up of two-man teams and a youth division, and youth’s fish can count toward adult team’s bag. Virtual weigh-ins will be conducted through the FishDonkey App, and scales will be provided.

The creel for each tournament:

  • 4 speckled trout
  • 1 striper
  • 1 drum
  • 1 flounder
