Falls of Neuse spits out big limit for PBC winners

Ken Wall of Asheboro and Ben Cannon of Apex finished second in the Piedmont Bass Classic on Falls of Neuse Lake with a 20.8-pound stringer.

Reedy, Morrow bag 24.25 pounds to win tournament

Dennis Reedy of Siler City and Tommy Morrow of Oxford won the July 6 season opener on the Piedmont Bass Classics End-of-the-Year Trail at Falls Lake. Their 5-fish catch of 24.25 pounds paid $925, and they also took the big-fish prize of $434 with an 8.15-pound bass.

Ken Wall of Asheboro and Ben Cannon of Apex placed second with 20.80 pounds and shared $517.

Other top teams were: Thomas Sheffer of Cary and Ken McNeill of Raleigh, third with 19.68 pounds that paid $408; Ted Boyette and John Parrish of Kenly, fourth with 19.06 pounds that paid $300; and Thomas and Jeff Clifton of Rolesville, fifth with 18.36 pounds that paid $217.
