Correction: North Carolina Sportsman inadvertently publishes last year’s fishing regs

The May 2010 issue of North Carolina Sportsman included the 2009 North Carolina freshwater and saltwater regulations instead of the 2010 regulations.

The main difference was the change in the minimum size limit on speckled trout, which went from 12 to 14 inches last October when changed by the N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries.

The daily creel limit remains 10 fish, but all specks must be 14 inches long in 2010, not 12.

The Sportsman regrets the error.
