2022 Oak Island Kayak Fishing School is May 14

Oak Island Fishing School

Capt. Jerry Dilsaver will be the presenter

The 2022 Oak Island Kayak Fishing School is scheduled for May 14. The event will be held at the Oak Island Community Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The school is presented by the Oak Island Friends of Parks Foundation, and will feature Capt. Jerry Dilsaver as the main presenter. 

This course will cover topics ranging from safety, rigging, inshore fishing for speckled trout, red drum and flounder, plus launching through the surf for Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, large red drum and more.

Registration is $40, or $50 at the door on the day of the event, if space is still available.
