Brendon Brown, a 19-year-old from Guilford County, NC, who became legally blind at the age of 13, harvested his first turkey on his first hunt with Drew Blake of Guiding Eyes Outdoors (GEO) on April 29, 2023 at Flat Branch Hunt Club in Harnett County. Brendon’s bird featured a double beard with lengths of 6 inches and 1.5 inches. Drew was able to harvest the second of three birds that came in and they were finished by 6:30 a.m.
