Marti Schutte has bagged a few birds in the past 9 years, always with the guidance of her husband. During that time, she’s tried hunting by herself, but things didn’t work out for her on those trips. That all changed on Sunday, April 16, 2023, when she bagged her first solo bird. The gobbler weighed 19 pounds, had a 9-inch beard, and sported 7/8-inch spurs.
