Kristyn Belcher bags second gobbler of season

After doubling up on gobblers with a friend of hers during North Carolina’s 2024 turkey hunting season, Kristyn Belcher killed her second gobbler of the season two days later.

“I watched the turkey putt off, but I called to him, and 30 minutes later, he popped out of the woods 15 yards from where I was sitting!” she said.

Just a few minutes after pulling the trigger, the weather took a turn for the worst. She had to carry the big bird through thunderstorms for half a mile.

“It was SO worth it!” she said.
