Eleven-year-old Jacy Cockman killed a very nice turkey on Opening Day of the 2025 Youth Season. She was entered in the NC Pirate Classic Youth Hunt, and finished in 6th place with a score of 74.3125. The young hunter’s bird sported an 11.75-inch beard and weighed 22 pounds, 11 ounces. The left spur measured 1.375 inches, and the right spur measured 1.4375 inches. She harvested the turkey in Guilford County, NC. Jacy, along with all other youth hunters that placed in the top 10, won a free NC lifetime hunting license.
