This buck and I go back three years to the 2019 season. Despite spending many many hours in the stand, I never once saw him. This past October I finally had my first encounter. Unfortunately, he spotted me while reaching for my bow. I was really upset, certain that would be my one and only chance. Until December 6th came around. It was raining that afternoon, so I made the decision to rifle hunt a tower stand. At 4 o’clock I heard movement, and a doe came out in the food plot, followed by this buck. I couldn’t believe it! Luck was on my side, and I made a good shot. Thankful for having the opportunity to hunt this beautiful whitetail.
