Good evening. Wanted to send in a picture of my first buck harvest for a possible post in your magazine. This deer is super special in the fact that it is my first harvest ( I’ve been hunting my whole life and I’m 43) and I had dedicated this season to my dad, which I lost very unexpectedly in 2022. This main beam 8, with a small kicker I call him a 9, was taken in Anson County. Hunting with the love of my life, I know kinda mushy, but he has been a saving grace to me, and provided me the opportunity to hunt with him. My buck was taken with an H & R ultra slug 12 gauge.
