My name is Elisha Atkins I go by (Eli) I shot this deer on September 9th Eight pointer in full velvet 3rd day into bow season. I have been watching him on camera for a few days now coming in. He finally started coming in at daytime his mistake! I seen him on opening day but he was 98 yards away in a field next to my blind. I had seen him on camera but he wouldn’t give me a chance.
Well while at work Monday September 9th he was teasing me on my cell cam, staying in my hunting spot all day. I got the itch and decided to leave work at 2:45pm and was in the woods right before 4pm. Well at 6:18pm he came in with two other bucks smaller then he was. And at 6:45pm he presented me with a shot at 25yards away. So I raised up the crossbow and let a Rage Xtreme Broadhead loose, and our story concluded with a happy ending. He went up the hill towards the field made it only 50 yards before piling up. And now he is at the taxidermy I thank god for this opportunity and me being able to harvest such a beautiful animal. I thank my Father in law for helping me drag him out, And I thank Woman’s Touch Taxidermy she always does a good job I cant wait to get him back. She is located in Ararat NC.
