I’ve been chasing this deer I’ve called Moose since October 5th, I wanted to shoot this deer last year but he only showed up once and never showed up again. On the 5th of October 2025 I was fishing with a great friend of mine when I decided to go through my cell camera photos and he was there, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I told myself then on I was gonna hunt every morning and every afternoon possible until I laid my eyes on him, but no luck until the 18th of October he slipped right passed me while I was watching a different deer in the scope. So from then on I’ve tried every attractant, every call, different winds, and rattling antlers nothing worked so I changed up my strategy I started laying corn in the afternoons when I’d go hunting to see if it might have changed his pattern at all and the very next day he day lighted at 8:40 in the morning checking scrapes 100 yards away no idea I was there with him. I lifted my mossberg 308 off the rail and put the crosshairs on the crease of his neck and squeezed the trigger he piled up 20 yards later. I called my wife and she came and helped dragged him out. 190 pounds 15 points later biggest deer of my life, hard work, patience, and determination will eventually bless you with something you’ve always dreamed of.
