My dad seen this 8 pointer when he was a two year old we think he was a 5 year old this year.
We had a lot of trail camera pictures of the deer.
I made a 134 yard shot in woods, sitting on the ground with no blind.
It dropped on the spot

My favorite thing about this hunt was that it only took 3 minutes. I had been hunting hard for a good buck and I was down to only Sunday left before school started back. We go to church on Sundays and normally don’t hunt but I asked my mom. She said if we got out of the woods in time to make it to church that we could hunt. Me and my dad walked in and found a good spot on the ridge to sit on the ground where deer had been working and traveling. I prayed that one would show up soon so we could get one and make it to church. We sat down at 7:00 and a 7:03 the big 8 pointer walked in. I have my cva in a bog death grip, I got on my gun and put it right on the deer’s shoulder and it dropped when I pulled the trigger. I jumped up like a bucking bull, I couldn’t believe it. It was my biggest buck I had ever got.
